"Fabulous"

"This apartment was absolutely perfect for our first trip to Paris. I can't say enough good things about it. The décor is so eclectic and interesting. You see new things every day. The bedrooms and living areas are comfortable and spacious and the owner has thought of everything you'd need. The water is hot (good water pressure too) and the surrounding area looks just like a French painting. It's a little bit of a walk to the metro but we're a couple of 50 year old ladies and we managed it. It's well worth the walk through the beautiful area. Once to the train/metro you can go anywhere you want in Paris. Of course if you had a car it would even be better. The little town of Herblay, nearby, has supplies and is a nice break from the tourist areas. The owner of this apartment is absolutely the perfect host. I would be honored to call him a friend. After seeing Paris for the first time, I'm set on going back and if I do, I would definitely stay at this apartment again if I'm welcome". (Doris)

"Wonderfully situated, relaxing and a joy"

"Staying at The Hill House was a wonderful experience for us all. Situated in peaceful surroundings, overlooking the Seine, the property was a visual feast inside and out - 2 lovely patio's, delightful terraces, fascinating and eclectic decor throughout creating a marvellous ambience. La Frette-sur-Seine is quiet and friendly and the local Creperie is highly recommended. We largely chose to cater for ourselves, though, and enjoyed relaxing meals in the shade of the surrounding greenery. The proprietor, Aubry, could not have been more helpful and was very happy to lend a bicycle for the duration of our stay. We will definitely be returning!" (Paul B)

"Can highly recommend. You just keep looking at all the features in this very special location. We were a group of 6 woman, there was enough space in the appartment. Aubry is a gentlemen who even carried our Luggage. Train to Paris is really on walking distance. Whole trip to Eiffel tower train-metro took us 45 min.

"We spent 4 fabulous days in the hill house, taking it as base for a Family of 8 persons (with children between 2 an 11). Closely located to the Seine river in a romantic atmosphere the hill house keeps it promising Pictures. A very unusal and interesting Interieur in which every Asian culture interested Person could find appealing gives the flat its extraordinary Flair. We drove each day by car to Paris and of course te traffic and to find a spot to park took time. Nevertheless we saw all sceening sights we intended to. The tennant we very nice and friendly and helped us out (City map; etc.) in several issues. Thanks for that again in the aftermath. We would book hill house again and can recommend it. As said before, the Pictures meet reality." (Andreas)

"Merveilleux week end"

"Nous avons loué les deux parties de la maison pour une dizaine de personnes, c'était parfait, espace bien suffisant, belle déco esprit asiatique à l'étage, tout le confort necessaire, Jardin ravissant (mais beaucoup d'escaliers attention pour les jeunes enfants...), et malgré la pluie super week end dépaysant et apaisant. Le cadre est magique, les photos sont fidèles à la réalité!"

"J'ai eu l'occasion fin août de louer The Hill House, à l'occasion de l'anniversaire surprise organisé pour les 40 ans de mon mari. J'ai loué la grande salle et le gite qui nous a permis de dormir sur place le soir. Nous étions une petite quarantaine avec enfants, et ça s'est merveilleusement bien passé. C'est un lieu magique, magnifique, très bien situé, dans un environnement très agréable et calme, juste en face de la Seine. Le gite et la salle sont très fonctionnels, très joliment décorés et éclairés. Aubry, le propriétaire est à votre disposition pour vous aider à préparer votre évènement, et votre installation, mais aussi pour répondre à toutes vos questions, d'une gentillesse extrême, il est disponible et très serviable. Je recommande cette location, comme je l'ai recommandé à l'ensemble des convives le soir même de l'anniversaire. Les photos sont magnifiques mais la maison est encore plus belle en vraie ! Je n'hésiterai pas à revenir, c'est certain ! Merci encore, Aubry pour votre gentillesse." (Sophia B)

"The Hill House is a work of art and love. This exquisite house is part of a three story larger house on the side of a hill overlooking a particularly green part of the river seine. The photos are accurate, but can still not fully describe the love that has gone into building and furnishing this third floor independent apartment. Your host Aubry is a gentile and dedicated host who helped us with everything we needed and even though he lives part time in the bottom house, our privacy was upmost and he was incredibly respectful of it. The only sign of his presence is if you see him in his part of the main building as you walk up the garden path, or hear him practising his piano, (he is particulalry good and we spent more that an evening listing to him play as the music came up through the garden. The house is on quite a steep slope but the garden is spectacular lush, full of bamboo and ivy. the Hill house is distinctly asian in feel and the small details of the place are delightful to discover. The kitchen is minimal but has everything you need to prepare basic meals, however the absence of an oven means that baking or roasting isn't possible. It looks out on a beautiful patio where you can enjoy eating in the garden. Beds are plentiful and comfortable. The back bedroom is also bathroom with a bathtub and wash basin, but very tastefully done. There is also a delightful wooden deck off the long that has a great view through the trees to the river." "Wir hatten eine ganz wunderbare Zeit in diesem liebevoll eingerichtetem Hill House. Wird auf jeden Fall wieder gebucht, wenn wir nach Paris fahren. Aubry, der uns eingeführt hat, ist sehr liebenswert und hilfsbereit. Mit dem Zug fährt man nur 15 Minuten in die Stadt und nach einem anstrengenden Tag in Paris kann man sich in diesem kleinen Ort direkt an der Seine erholen." (Wermer)

"Nous avons loué le gite pour héberger de la famille ainsi que la salle de réception pour recevoir nos familles et amis pour fêter notre départ en Angleterre.
Tout s'est très bien passé : Etienne est un hôte très agréable, nous avons eu un très bon accueil. Il était disponible et nous avons eu tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Le gite et la salle sont vraiment très beaux, très bien décorés, conforme à la description ! Le cadre est très calme et agréable, au bord des quais de Seine, on oublie qu'on est en région parisienne. Je recommanderai cet hôte sans aucune hésitation ! Encore merci à lui !"(Laetitia)

"La maison est un vrai cocon, très élégante et confortable. Les nombreux rideaux et voilages apportent une touche très "cosy"! Sept invitées, nous aurions adoré poursuivre notre séjour de quelques jours. Aubry est un excellent hôte, généreux et agréable. Adresse à faire tourner ! Cependant, mieux vaut avoir un véhicule... Les différentes routes à emprunter depuis la gare (15min) sont très pentues." (Juliane)

"Charming house in a beautiful village on the Seine, with a delightful garden and two terraces we appreciated. Perfect location quite near to center town (when the traffic's fluid, though all the most quiet and calm countryside. We really appreciated the atypical design and decoration, a mix between traditional and oriental style.Aubry was the perfect host, always ready to provide us precious advices and answer our demands and really contributed to making our stay totally perfect in the Hill House." " We have rented this property from July 8-11, 2013. We wanted to visit Paris for a couple of days with our 2 teenage boys and didn't want to stay directly in Paris. The property is beautiful and unique with large rooms, lots of space, lots of windows and is very private. It is decorated with a great care and flair, it is very comfortable and has every comfort one might want and need. Our younger son loved the hammock and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace enjoying the tranquility. It was a wonderful and peaceful reprieve from the busy bustle of the city. The house is everything that it says it is and more. Aubry, the owner of the property is very accommodating and it has been our pleasure to meet him. We would recommend The Hill House to anyone and will be happy to stay there again next time we have a chance to visit Paris." (Zuzana)

Tout - beau jardin parfumé, agréable terrasse avec vue parfaite sur Seine vous aide à voyager terminer la journée dans une harmonie - de boire du vin et parler avec ceux qui partagent ces beaux jours. "Hill House is a wonderful place to stay. It's quirky, charming and furnished with great care and eccentricity. Through the garden gate and up steep steps to a lushly planted terrace with teasing views of the Seine - would be a great place to sit on warm evenings. Inside, the immaculate apartment feels like the home of a friend you like, whose taste you admire and whose books you want to borrow! Aubry was very courteous and helpful. It's very easy to catch the train into Paris - 10 mins walk to the station and a 15 minute journey. Lovely to spend time in the city and sleep well in a quiet spot by the river. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer. We'll return! " (Rachel)

"Myself and 5 friends had a wonderful time at the Hill House. It was very accommodating and only a stones throw from Paris. What makes this place so great (apart from the host Aubrey's kind manner) is that you have the best of both world's; Paris is only 15 minutes on the train and after a long day sightseeing it is lovely to come home and relax in what feels like a million miles from the hustle and bustle. My friends and I would definitely recommend The Hill House to couples or groups of adults any age. Thank you Aubrey for being so accommodating, we had a wonderful time!" (Simon)
